US diet

These two pie charts show the average American diet in two different years, 1990 and 2005. Any diet in the world contains usually four main categories like sugars, fats, proteins and starches. All of these types of food are important for humans to get healthy and in the perfect weight but only if there is a good diet system.

The first pie chart shows the average diet in the US in 1990 and shows that the maximum part of the diet is the fat, forty two percent but in 2005 it decreased to thirty percent. The second part is the sugar and in 1990 it was twenty four percent and it decreased to fifteen percent in 2005. Thirdly starches and it was twenty two percent in 1990 but in 2005 it increased to forty three but the proteins percentage was the same in both of these years.

From these pie charts we can conclude that the average diet in the US changed rapidly and that could be because of the change of the American culture with the new science evolution at the end of the last century.
